Meadville, PA - Joseph Michael Gilbert, 37, of Meadville passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center. Joe was born in Erie on July 24, 1988, son of James Leroy Gilbert, Jr. and Laura Norris Moore. He graduated with the class of 2009 from Saegertown High School. Joe had an outgoing personality and will be remembered for his positive outlook. He loved going to Walmart and McDonalds and enjoyed solving puzzles, baking, crafting, art and listening to music and was a fan of country music artist LeAnn Rimes.

He was preceded in death by grandmother Dianna Gilbert in January 2020, great-grandfather Jesse Tracy, great-grandmother Norma Tracy, grandfather Lou Forro, great-grandmother Mabelle Norris, and grandfather Bill Norris.

Survivors include mother Laura Moore and her husband Jerome, father James L. Gilbert Jr, grandfather James L. Gilbert Sr, grandmother Linda Norris, half-brothers Michael, Matthew and Luke Gilbert, half-sister Hailey Kuhn, half-sister Megan Kelly and her husband Dustin, aunt Kim Davis and her husband Mike and their daughters Andrea and Erica Davis, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family members.

Friends and family are invited to call at Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday, July 31, from 12 pm until time of funeral service to begin at 2 o'clock with Rev Tonya Whaley officiating.
