Cambridge Springs, PA - Mrs. Leanne Carol Mitchell (Farnum), age 86, of Mitchell Lake, Cambridge Springs went to be with her Lord, and beloved husband of sixty-two years, after a long battle with dementia on June 26, 2025. She was a devoted military wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was born on May 30, 1939, along with her twin brother Brian, in Detroit, Michigan, and is the daughter of the late Franklin Farnum and Artha Grubman Farnum Monzo. She met her late husband, Robert L. Mitchell, while he was stationed at Langley Air Force Base Virginia, and they married on September 7, 1963, at Saint Mark's Lutheran Church Detroit, Michigan. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Drakes Mills where she sang in the church choir and played the hand bells. Leanne enjoyed working at the Cambridge Springs Health Center for over twenty-five years. She also enjoyed baking, knitting, and working in her flower gardens. She bowled and golfed for many years.

Survivors include sisters-in-law Janice Boylan of Cambridge Springs and Christa Nuss and her husband Donald of Cambridge Springs; son Scott A. Mitchell and his wife Stephanie of Cambridge Springs; daughter Shawna K. Mitchell of Leesburg, Ohio; son Michael C. Mitchell and his wife Christy of Cambridge Springs; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; Alan Mitchell and son Wyatt of Boise, Idaho; Devin and Colleen Mitchell and their children Nevaeh, Lane, Lailynn and Hudson of Fort Stewart, Georgia; Alyssa and Dave Atkinson and son Beckett of Cambridge Springs: Austin and Megan Mitchell and their children Keagan, Mia, Lincoln, Presley, and Saylor of Van Wert, Ohio; Chloe Mitchell of Chicago, Illinois; Adam Mitchell and fiancé Bella of Dayton, Ohio; Lauren Mitchell and fiancé Brendan of Dayton, Ohio; Chally Mitchell of Vandalia, Ohio; Michelle Mitchell and fiancé Mike and their sons, Kayden and Tyson of Derry, Pennsylvania; Matthew Mitchell; Felicia and Jordan Douglass and son Matthew of Memphis, Tennessee; and Cameron Smith of Cambridge Springs.
