Mary Lou Minch Obituary

Mary Lou Minch, 86, of Edinboro, died Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Meadville, PA on August 30, 1938 and grew up on a small farm in Harmonsburg, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Edna (Sorg) Coleman.


Mary graduated from Saegertown High School and then worked in the payroll and human resource departments at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for 35 years.


She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Edinboro.


She enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends, visiting Europe several times, as well as fishing, gardening, and spending time with her cats at home. Mary dearly loved her grandchildren, Logan and Emily, and spent countless hours watching them in sports and theater.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward Minch, and her brother, Richard Coleman of Meadville.


Survivors include her son, Mark (Dawnielle) Minch of Grove City; two sisters, Dorothy McCurdy of California and Marjorie Stainbrook of Arizona; two grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m.
