Robert (Bud) George Hemphill
Robert (Bud) G. Hemphill, 58, of Cochranton, died Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. Born, June 29, 1961 in Philadelphia, he was the son of Albert and Carolyn Brown Hemphill. He married Leigh Chesbrough on June 27, 1992 and she survives.
Bud served in the US Army from 1979 until 1983 stationed in Fort Bragg, NC. Locally he worked for several years at Acutec in Meadville.
He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, hunting, playing horseshoes and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Leigh, three children, Tracie Leatherwood (Kevin) of New Jersey, Tad Chesbrough (Sara) of Lazerne, and Robert Helms (Michelle) of Fitchburg, MA. Two sisters, RoseMary Gonzalez (Juan) of Titusville, FL. Carol Faile (Brant) of Crestview, FL, three brothers, Horace Carver (Leicha) of San Antonio, TX, and Albert and Frank Hemphill of Elmer, NJ. Six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Kenneth Carver and a son Bruce Helms.
Friends and family will be received at the DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 123 S. Franklin St, Cochranton on Saturday, November 9, from 11:00am until 12:00pm when a Celebration of Life Service will be held with the Rev. Kevin Leatherwood, officiating.
Memorials can be made in Bud's name to the Barco Oncology Center, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd., Meadville PA 16335.
