Cambridge Springs - Robert Keith Shorts, age 74, of Cambridge Springs passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at UPMC Hamot. Bob was born in Meadville on April 19, 1951, the son of the late Theodore Shorts and Imogene Mary Wilson Shorts. He graduated from Cambridge Springs High School with the class of 1969 and began his career working with his father Ted Shorts at Shorts Red & White grocery store in Cambridge Springs in 1971. Bob took sole ownership in 1973, continuing until 1994. He was then employed at Valesky's grocery store in Meadville until he retired in 2014. On November 21, 1975, Bob married the former Donna Rae Sucanic. He was a dedicated Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed attending games with his family. Bob was a talented golfer who enjoyed all aspects of the game including attending tournaments and following professional golf. He played in leagues at Riverside, Venango Valley, and Country Meadows golf courses.
He was preceded in death by wife Donna Rae Shorts on August 1, 2012, and brothers Richard and Ronald Shorts.
Survivors include daughter Nancy Russell and her husband Terry of Chesapeake, VA, daughter Roberta (Bobbi) Shorts of Cambridge Springs, sister Judy Smith and her husband Harvey of Cambridge Springs, grandsons Colin and Jacob, and granddaughter Violet Rae.
