Meadville, Pennsylvania - Ruth Servey Dimerling of Meadville, PA, passed away on July 25, 2025, at Marquette Hospice House.

Ruth was born on February 17, 1935, the daughter of Thomas and Cecelia (Wolbert) Servey. She married Robert Dimerling on August 4, 1956. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2021.

After graduation from Clarion State College, Ruth taught at Freedom New Sewickley, then Crawford Central School District (Second District school). After retirement, Ruth did home school evaluations for 25 years.

Ruth was a member of St. Agatha Church, a Eucharistic Minister, and a religious Education teacher. She was a member of The Catholic Daughters of America and a founding member of Citizens for Life-Crawford County. She organized the buses locally to the March for Life in Washington, D.C., for many years. She also volunteered in the Wesbury Gift Shop.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Robin (Paul) Sipos of Blooming Valley; two sons, Scott (Teresa) Dimerling of McKinney, TX, and Jay Matthew (Peg) of Mason, OH; one sister, Patricia Burns Curdo of Rimersburg, PA; and two brothers, Robert (Jan) Servey of Meadville and Richard Servey of Strattanville, PA. She had nine grandchildren, Jesse Sipos of Meadville, Jacob (Regina) Sipos of Anchorage, AK, Jamie (Steve) Rhodes of Hydetown, Jeremy (Lisa) Sipos of McFarland, WI, Jordan (Jodi) Sipos of Atlantic, PA, Meggan (Tyler) Dimerling, Haslet, TX, Caleb, Victoria and Madison Dimerling, Mason, OH; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and "other children" Sue and Rick Marranconi.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years; her parents; brother Thomas Servey; and her son, Thomas Dimerling.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, July 28, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will be performing a service at 4:00pm and a prayer service will be held at 6:45pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 29, at 10:00am at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, with Father Kyle Seyler as celebrant. The Mass will also be livestreamed via the funeral home Facebook page.

Burial will take place at Saint Agatha Cemetery.
