Sharon Louise McDonnell Rudy
Sharon Louise McDonnell Rudy, age 76, of Cochranton, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown, PA, after a long illness. Born in Titusville, PA, on July 6, 1942, she was the daughter of Charles T. McDonnell and Helen Crone McDonnell. Sharon was a graduate of Titusville High School in 1961. Sharon married her husband of 54 years, Paul Rudy, on September 21, 1963 at Pleasantville United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Cochranton United Methodist Church, and Station 4 Firehouse Grill. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, playing cards, and taking her daily walk to get the mail. Sharon will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Paul; two daughters, Diane Rudy and fiancé Sam Fuller of Harmonsburg, and Jan Brumagin and husband Brian of Waterford; a son, David Rudy and his wife Hope of Cochranton, one sister, Patricia Peterson and husband Norman of Pleasantville. She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Robert, Daniel, and Taylor Rains, Dustin, Kayla, and Rachel Brumagin, Kendall and Kyle Rudy. Three great grandchildren, Aliannah and Josalyn Lannin, and Xavier Miller. She was also survived by nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her death. The family would like to give a special thanks to Crawford County Care Center and Southern Care Hospice for taking such good care of Sharon. Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Dickson Family Funeral Home, Inc, 123 S. Franklin Street, Cochranton, PA, 16314. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Russell Hines officiating. Burial will be in Cochranton Cemetery. Memorial can be made out to Cochranton United Methodist Church, 114 Adams St, Cochranton, PA, or Cochranton Area Public Library, 107 W. Pine Street, Cochranton, PA.
