Shirley D. Sheehan
COCHRANTON - Shirley D. Sheehan, 90, of 4114 Sheehan Lane, Cochranton, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Meadville Medical Center.
Born in Franklin, PA on March 18, 1928, she was the daughter of Ralph Dewoody and Enid Dean Dewoody. She married James B. Sheehan on September 23, 1950.
She graduated Rocky Grove High School in 1945 and attended Kent State. In 1950, she co-founded Specialty Printer with her husband, James Sheehan.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and loved spending time at Kelso Beach in Erie. She would often start a conversation with an opinion about anything political and the family would be off on heated discussion that went on for hours. And, she loved her champagne - right to the end.
She was preceded in death by her husband James in 2006 and her daughter, Bridget Ann in October 2017. Her brother, Ralph Dewoody and her sister Gail Hanna.
She is survived by daughter, Sherry Mason and her husband Wally, Alan M. Sheehan and his partner, Tammy Frantz, James B. Sheehan Jr. and his wife, Bernadette. Her grandchildren, Shaun and Chad Mason, Michael Sheehan, Katelyn Peterson, and Ty Sheehan.
Calling hours will be 2 to 5:00 PM Sunday afternoon at Dickson Family Funeral Home, South Franklin St., Cochranton.
Funeral Service will be Monday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jane Ellen Nickell, Ph.D. officiating. Burial will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
