Stuart Charles Crawford
Stuart Charles Crawford, age 71, passed away on January 10, 2019, at AristaCare Park Avenue, Meadville, PA, from complications of Progressive Supernuclear Palsy, a neurological movement disorder. Stuart was born on August 18, 1947, in Syracuse, NY, the son of Charles and Marjorie Goudy Crawford. On June 23, 1968, he married Garie Waltzer in East Meadow, Long Island, NY. Stuart grew up in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY. After graduating from Maple Hill High School in 1965, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Buffalo in 1969, and took post-graduate courses at Case Western Reserve University. He was a self-employed cabinet maker and worked as a draftsman for an architectural design firm in Cleveland. Later, he moved to New Orleans and worked in the restaurant business. He was a fine jazz pianist and played occasional gigs with his partner and vocalist, Lisa Lynn Kotnik.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include brother, William Crawford of Cambridge Springs, PA; brother, Jeffrey Crawford of Ramsey, NJ; sister, Jean Hacker of Valatie, NY; son, Eli Crawford and his wife, Yuko Hibino of Seattle, WA; daughter, Eva Clark and her husband, William of New York City; six-month old grandson, William Oliver Clark; nephew, Peter Crawford of Woburn, MA; niece, Amy Engquist of Jamestown, NY; niece, Abigail Gilmore of Wattsburg, PA: nephew, Ryan Hacker of Valatie, NY; nephew, Aaron Hacker of New York City; niece, Kristi Zunk of New York City; niece, Christie Crawford of New York City; and nephew, Chase Crawford of Hoboken, NJ;
