William G. Pearson
William G. Pearson, 88 formerly of Cochranton and a resident of the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the home. He was born, November 13, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was married to Geraldine Gilmore and she preceded him in death on August 19, 1992.
Bill served with the US Army during World War II and returning from the war, he started his own glass shop in Cochranton, eventually moving to Meadville and became the owner of the Meadville Plate Glass Company for several years.
He loved all types of sports, camping, biking and would host all the family gatherings.
Survivors include his son, Todd Pearson of Meadville, 4 grandchildren, Alexis Pearson of Meadville, Teylor Pearson of Erie, Kelly Mosbacher and her husband Aaron Schluep and their children, Nola and Samuel of Charleston, SC, and Kassandra Mosbacher and her daughter, Kelsey of New Orleans, LA, and a special friend, Jeanette Hunt of Meadville.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Niedlinger and 3 brothers.
Friends and family will be received at the DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 4pm until 6pm, when the Rev. David Brumagin will conduct a memorial service.
Interment will be in the Cochranton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in Bill's name to the Cochranton High School Basketball Boosters, 105 Second St. Cochranton, PA 16314.
