Cochranton, PA - William (Sonny) Weaver, 92, of Cochranton, died on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Crawford Care Center in Saegertown. Born, April 24, 1933 in Mundsville, West Virginia, he was the son of William and Hazel Knox Weaver Sr.
He married Ruth Andrews on October 12, 1973 and she preceded him in death on March 9, 2020.
For several years he was a mechanic at Dunn's Construction Company in Cochranton and also worked as a janitor at the Meadville Redevelopment Authority. He was also a member of the Cochranton Presbyterian Church and loved to work on farm tractors.
Survivors include his sisters, Mildred Irwin of Cochranton, Donna (Larry) Reed of Greenville and Sharlene (Jim) Reed of Cochranton. Several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Freda Smith, Lillian Drakalic, Violet Irwin, Owen Weaver, Richard Weaver, Walter Weaver, Kenneth Weaver, Joyce Ellis and Gloria Weaver.
Friends and family will be received at the DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 123 S. Franklin St. on Wednesday, from 6;00PM until 7:00pm. The Rev. Curt Brenzier will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00pm.
Interment will be in the Mumford Cemetery.
